CSI Gr. 3-5 Drama: Madagascar KIDSPerforming ArtsCSI students grades 3rd-5th. Students may only participate in drama program offered at the school in which they are currently enrolled. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends — Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo — have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape — with the help of some prodigious penguins — to explore the world. PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 10 parent volunteer hours is expected per family. We require at least 6–8 committed parent volunteers to successfully run the show. If we do not meet this minimum, the production may be canceled. Drama rehearsals are weekly on Mondays and Fridays at 2:40-6:00 pm and Wednesdays from 1:40-6:00 pm starting Wednesday, September 9 from 1:40pm-6:00pm - Friday, October 30 from 2:40pm-6:00pm located in the CSI Bistro. (Note: class on Friday, Oct. 30 will be relocated D-Studio). Your students ability to attend scheduled rehearsals will be one of the factors in determining the role your child receives. If there are too many schedule conflicts, then your child will be asked to reconsider participating in the play. No School on Monday, September 7 and Monday, October 12. Parent Teacher Conference drama rehearsals on 10/5, 10/7, and 10/9 from 1:40pm-6:00pm located in the CSI Bistro. Tech week is Monday, November 2 - Wednesday, November 4 from 6:15pm-8:30pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca. Drama performances are schedule on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 pm, Friday, November 6 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca. (The videotaping or other video or audio recording of this production is strictly prohibited.) *offsite venue for drama shows are not guaranteed* Please note there are no outside concession sales or the sale of any other items will not be permitted during the upcoming performances. No outside vendors or representatives will be authorized to distribute or sell products on-site. We kindly ask that all participants and vendors respect this arrangement. COST: $425.00 All registration fees are non-refundable once auditions have concluded and the cast list has been posted, prior to the start of rehearsals — no exceptions. Payment Plans Available- If you would like to set up a payment plan before registration closes, please email us at cusdexpandedlearning@campbellusd.org 75% Scholarships are available to Homeless or Foster Youth and a letter approval of Free/Reduced lunch status from the Child Nutrition Dept. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. With abundant opportunities for imaginative sets and costumes, and a host of over-the-top roles for an expandable cast, there's a part for everyone in this dazzling adventure story.
