Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek.  One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

With abundant opportunities for imaginative sets and costumes, and a host of over-the-top roles for an expandable cast, there's a part for everyone in this dazzling adventure story.

Auditions on Tuesday, August 25 at 3:10 pm-5:30 pm located in the Rolling Hills Cafeteria. No walk-ins will be accepted during auditions. Parent Meeting is on TBD located in the Rolling Hills Cafeteria.  PLEASE NOTE:  A minimum of 10 parent volunteer hours is expected per family. We require at least 8-10 committed parent volunteers to successfully run the show. If we do not meet this minimum, the production may be canceled. 

Drama rehearsals are weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:10-5:30pm starting Thursday, August 28 - Thursday, October 29 from 3:10pm-5:30pm located in the Rolling Hills Cafeteria.

Parent Teacher Conference drama rehearsals are located in the Rolling Hills Cafeteria on Tuesday, October 6 and Thursday, October 8 at 3:10-5:30pm.

NOTE: No class on Tuesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 22 due to instructors schedule.

Tech week is Monday, November 2 - Wednesday, November 4 from 5:30pm-8:00pm located at Campbell Heritage Theater in Campbell, Ca.

Move in Day is Monday, November 2 TIME is TBD and Strike Day is Saturday, November 7 from 5:30pm-8:00pm

Drama performances are schedule on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 pm, Friday November 6 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, November 7 at 5:00 pm  located at Campbell Heritage Theatre in Campbell, Ca.

(The videotaping or other video or audio recording of this production is strictly prohibited.)

Please note that outside concession sales or the sale of any other items will not be permitted during the upcoming performances. The Campbell Heritage Theatre (CHT) will be providing all concessions for the event. We kindly ask that all participants and vendors respect this arrangement.

COST: $425.00 All registration fees are non-refundable once auditions have concluded and the cast list has been posted, prior to the start of rehearsals — no exceptions. 75% Scholarships are available to Homeless or Foster Youth and a letter approval of Free/Reduced lunch status from the Child Nutrition Dept.  Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. 1) Be sure to create an ARUX account online and 2) email us at cusdexpandedlearning@campbellusd.org to request the discount. Discounted price is: $106.25. You can also set up a payment plan for the discounted price.

Space is limited to 32 students only (per Drama Directors capacity limitation) and online registration is based on first come, first served. 

Registration Deadline: The last day to register online is Thursday, August 20, or until the program reaches capacity, whichever comes first.
