Sherman Oaks students Gr. 3-8 Disney's Aladdin Dual Language Edition Bienvenidos a Agrabah! The rollicking Disney adventure is told in Spanish and English. Our story begins centuries ago, when the royalty of Agrabah spoke one language, and the citizens another. Communication is impossible without translation... which is controlled by the evil vizier, Jafar. When the rebellious princess, Jazmin, and a delinquent street rat, Aladdin, meet in the marketplace, they find something special in one another. Together, they work to transcend the barriers between them and, with a little magic, help create a better future for themselves and for Agrabah. This touching musical adventure will thrill both Spanish- and English-speaking audiences. Schedules and times are subject to change. Auditions on are on Monday, February 23 at 2:25pm-6:00pm, Wednesday, February 25 at 1:30pm-5:00pm, and Friday, February 27 at 2:25pm-6pm located in the Sherman Oaks Multi Use Room. Parent Meeting is Monday, February 23 at 6:00pm-7:00pm and Wednesday, February 25 at 6:00pm-7:00pm located in the Sherman Oaks Multi Use Room. PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 10 parent volunteer hours is expected per family. We require at least 8-10 committed parent volunteers to successfully run the show. If we do not meet this minimum, the production may be canceled. Drama rehearsals are weekly on Mondays, and Fridays at 2:25pm-6:00pm and Wednesdays at 1:30-5:00pm starting Wednesday January 21 - Wednesday March 18, 2026. NOTE: No class on Monday 3/9 and 4/13-4/17 Spring Break. Tech week is Monday May 4 - Wednesday May 6 from 6:15pm-8:30pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca. Move in Day is Monday, May 4 TIME is TBD and Strike Day is Saturday May 9 from 5:30pm-7:30pm Drama performances are schedule on Thursday May 7 at 7:00 pm, Friday May 8 at 7:00 pm, Saturday May 9 at 1:00pm and 5:00 pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca. (The videotaping or other video or audio recording of this production is strictly prohibited.) *offsite venues for drama shows are not guaranteed* Please note that this year there will be no concessions or other items sold at the performances. No outside vendors or representatives will be authorized to distribute or sell products on-site. We kindly ask that all participants and vendors respect this arrangement. COST: $350.00 All registration fees are non-refundable once auditions have concluded and the cast list has been posted, prior to the start of rehearsals — no exceptions.
