Castlemont, Lynhaven & Rosemary Gr. 2-5 Drama: Disney's Moana Jr.

This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.

Castlemont, Lynhaven, and Rosemary students grades 2nd-5th. Students may only participate in drama program offered at the school in which they are currently enrolled.

Auditions on Tuesday, March 10 at 2:40 pm-6:00 pm, and Thursday, March 12 at 2:40 pm-6:00 pm located at Lynhaven Elementary School in the Multi Use Room.  Here is the link to access Student Materials for Auditions.

Parent Meeting is Friday, March 13 from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and located at Lynhaven Elementary School in the Multi Use Room.

PLEASE NOTE:  A minimum of 10 parent volunteer hours is expected per family. We require at least 6–8 committed parent volunteers to successfully run the show or by speacial assignments prior to the show. If we do not meet this minimum, the production may be canceled. 

Drama rehearsals are weekly located at Lynhaven Elementary School in the Multi Use Room on Tuesdays from 2:40pm-6:00pm and Thursdays starting Tuesday, March 17 -Thursday, May 7 from 2:40pm-6:00pm including selected Fridays on 3/20, 4/3, 4/24, and 5/8 from 2:40pm-6:00pm. Your students ability to attend scheduled rehearsals will be one of the factors in determining the role your child receives. If there are too many schedule conflicts, then your child will be asked to reconsider participating in the play. 

Costume Fitting at Lynhaven Elementary MUR on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Dress Rehearsal at Lynhaven Elementary MUR on Thursday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

No class on 4/13-4/17 Spring Break.

Move in Day is Monday, May 11 at 12:45 pm-2:00 p.m. and Strike Day is Saturday, May 16 at 6:40 p.m.

Starbright Theater Mandatory Safety Training Meeting on Monday, May 11 at 6:15 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Tech week is Monday, May 11 - Wednesday, May 13 from 6:15pm-8:45pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca.

Drama performances are schedule on Thursday May 14 at 7:00 pm, Friday May 15 at 7:00 pm, Saturday May 16 at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm located at Starbright Theater in Campbell, Ca.

Please note that this year there will be no concessions or other items sold at the performances. No outside vendors or representatives will be authorized to distribute or sell products on-site. We kindly ask that all participants and vendors respect this arrangement.

·COST: $350.00 All registration fees are non-refundable once auditions have concluded and the cast list has been posted, prior to the start of rehearsals — no exceptions. 75% Scholarships are available to Homeless or Foster Youth and Free/Reduced lunch status families. Discounted price is: $87.50. You can also set up a payment plan for the discounted price.

Space is limited to 32 students only (per Drama Directors capacity limitation) and online registration is based on first come, first served.  Last day to register online is 2/25.
