Summer Crew
Our Summer Crew program provides students with a safe and supportive learning environment to develop and explore interests, participate in exciting clubs and activities that support developing 21st Century Life Skills to be successful in school and in life. Our activities promote student inquiry, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Participants of Summer Crew will take part in a variety of activities to support academic growth and varied interests.
28 days of Summer Camp, Serving 120 students
Mandatory Parent Meeting: Thursday, June 18 2026 at 4:30pm at Monroe Middle School Cafeteria.
Who:
Currently enrolled CUSD 5th-7th grade CUSD students
Prioritizing students from Blackford, Lynhaven, Monroe, Rosemary, and Sherman Oaks
Student must be enrolled in CUSD for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school year
Current 8th Grade students are not eligible as participants
When:
Monday, June 22 - Friday, July 31 8:45am-4:00pm Closed: July 4th and July 6
Where:
Monroe Middle School, 1055 S Monroe St., San Jose, CA 95128
Commitment:
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED to attend all day for a minimum of 23 summer camp days out of the 28 day program. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE A COMMITMENT TO AT LEAST 23 FULL DAYS, PLEASE RECONSIDER IF THIS IS A GOOD FIT, AS WE HAVE LIMITED CAPACITY.

Limited Transportation is available.
Why is this program discounted?
With the 2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49, After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program, the Campbell Union School District is able to provide a free summer program at Monroe Middle School.
