Our Summer Crew program provides students with a safe and supportive learning environment to develop and explore interests, participate in exciting clubs and activities that support developing 21st Century Life Skills to be successful in school and in life. Our activities promote student inquiry, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity.  Participants of Summer Crew will take part in a variety of activities to support academic growth and varied interests.

29 days of Summer Camp, Serving 120 students


Mandatory Parent Meeting: Wednesday, June 18 2025 at 4:30pm at Monroe Middle School Cafeteria. 

Who: 

Enrolled 5th-7th grade CUSD students

Student must be enrolled in CUSD for the 2025-2026 school year as well. 

When: 

Monday, June 23 - Friday, August 1             8:45am-4:00pm             Closed: July 4th

Where:

Monroe Middle School, 1055 S Monroe St., San Jose, CA 95128

Commitment: 

STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED to attend all day for a minimum of 24 summer camp days out of the 29 day program. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE A COMMITMENT TO AT LEAST 24 FULL DAYS, PLEASE RECONSIDER IF THIS IS A GOOD FIT, AS WE HAVE LIMITED CAPACITY.

Optional Bus Transportation: 

Limited transportation is available. 

Why is this program discounted? 

The California Legislature has approved ongoing funding for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). In conjunction with the  2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49, After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program, the Campbell Union School District is able to provide a free summer program at Monroe Middle School - open to all entering  6-8th grade students.
