This is only an application of interest and does not guarantee acceptance. Last year we had over 500 families express interest for 240 spaces, so please look for alternative summer options in case your student is not selected.
Summer Champions is a blended academic and enrichment summer camp program. In the morning, students will build academic English skills in speaking and listening while learning content in math, science and reading. In math and reading, students will reinforce previously taught skills from their prior grade level to build confidence and to give them a more solid foundation for the following school year. In the afternoon enrichment program, students will participate in STEAM, recreation and themed activities along with weekly field trips and field events.
The market rate for similar programs outside of our district goes for over $4,500. The CUSD Summer Champions program is being subsidized by Campbell Union School District through ELOP and ASES grant funding and and offered to your student at a discounted rate of $2,400. This rate will be charged over the course of 4 invoices of $600 each, DUE March 13, April 10, May 15, and June 12. Depending on your student's eligibility, additional subsidies may be available.
Why is this program discounted?
The California Legislature has approved ongoing funding for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). In conjunction with the 2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49, After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program, the Campbell Union School District is able to provide a summer program for students who meet specific criteria.
